For a classroom project in our second year, we were asked to choose a font and make a poster displaying a snippet of its origins, by using the fonts as elements for designing. I chose the Bauhaus font, made by Herbert Bayer in 1925. The neat, simple geometric shapes of the this sans-serif font captured my attention. Herbert Bayer was credited as the father of Bauhaus typography for his design of the font which was also called the"Universal Alphabet".
